"One of the most exciting voices in The Bahama Soul Club family in recent years ... an ongoing love affair. Cuban artist Arema Arega is something of a permanent feature and she sent us some ideas to sort out. At the very end of one of those takes we found those few words for "Alma Sola". Bingo, what a pearl. Arema (sometimes) does not need many words to be world class. She's unique in her way to develop ideas and put them on tape. Now we have a bluesy ride, moody and atmospheric with a grinding organ and a wonderful grand piano played by André Neundorf. Certainly not such a typical song for the Bahama Soul Club, but as beautiful as all the others."
